Aspirin – Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) pain reliever

Acetaminophen – pain reliever

Caffeine – pain reliever aid

Diphenhydramine Citrate – nighttime sleep aid

Active ingredients per caplet for each Excedrin product:

Excedrin Extra Strength – acetaminophen (250 mg), aspirin (250 mg) and caffeine (65 mg)

Excedrin Migraine – acetaminophen (250 mg), aspirin (250 mg) and caffeine (65 mg)

Excedrin Tension Headache – acetaminophen (500 mg) and caffeine (65 mg)

Should I take Excedrin if I am also taking medication containing NSAIDs?

NSAIDs can cause stomach bleeding under certain conditions. Please consult your doctor before taking Excedrin if you take additional medications containing NSAIDs.
